Kameido <Oguro>. Pure old-school hustle. It has operated since Showa 55, or 1980. The tonjiru was excellent, and the curry served with the tonkatsu was thoroughly old-fashioned. Japanese curry traditionally draws much of its character from Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce, a flavor now difficult to find in modern chains. This taste and set for ¥1,000 is remarkable.
